You don’t have to be a techie to really understand how your website is performing, and how to improve it. This five session workshop at the Centre for Social Innovation in Toronto is designed for anyone who is responsible for making decisions about websites or social media. As a participant, you will use Google Analytics to learn what is working and what is not with your website, social media and email newsletters, and learn how to make decisions based on your site visitors needs and wants, not guesswork.

This is a hands-on course for non-technical people, focused on giving you actionable insight into how your online work is helping you achieve your goals.  In five morning sessions over two months, we will :

  • configure a Google Analytics account that tracks what you need to know
  • define key performance indicators: the data that leads to the most valuable insight
  • identify your high value visitors, and what brings them to your site
  • prepare for a website redesign: what’s working on your site (and what’s not)
  • measure the impact of social media and mobile visitors
  • prepare a basic report you can present to senior decision makers outlining site performance and key opportunities for improvement
